The Dorcas Foundation, Inc. is a faith-based mission organization dedicated to serving communities with compassion, dignity, and the love of the Lord Jesus Christ. Founded by Rev. Doreen Martin and based in Hartford, Connecticut, USA, the foundation is rooted in the Biblical example of Dorcas, whose life was marked by selfless giving and service to others. We are committed to reaching the whole person—body, soul, and spirit—by cognitively communicating the gospel of Jesus Christ and demonstrating His love through acts of service that bring transformation to individuals, families, and communities.
Partner with us
As a global ministry, The Dorcas Foundation, Inc. seeks to partner with fellow Christians around the world to advance the work of God’s Kingdom. Following the examples of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we serve the less fortunate and the oppressed, including vulnerable populations such as pregnant teenagers, while promoting holistic well-being, healthy lifestyles, and spiritual growth. Through outreach, discipleship, humanitarian aid, and community engagement, we bear witness to the good news of the gospel of peace and remain steadfast in our mission to win souls for Christ and empower lives through faith in action.
Recent Activity
Recently, The Dorcas Foundation, Inc. completed a highly impactful mission trip to Jamaica, serving across five churches in partnership with the New Testament Church of God – Jamaica. We were honored to minister alongside the following congregations: Montego Bay New Testament Church of God, Spalding New Testament Church of God, Dykes Hill New Testament Church of God, Eastwood Park New Testament Church of God, and Cottorwood New Testament Church of God. The mission was met with open hearts, deep gratitude, and strong community engagement. Through prayer, praise and worship, healing and deliverance, lives were saved and faith was strengthened. In addition to church outreach, our team ministered at the Women’s Centre of Jamaica, where we supported and encouraged pregnant teenagers through donations, prayer, and affirmations of their God-given value, strength, and purpose. This mission further strengthened our commitment to continued partnership with the New Testament Church of God in Jamaica, particularly as communities recover from recent storms. We move forward with great expectation of what God will continue to accomplish through unity, service, and love.
